What is Cancer?
Cancer is a disease in which some cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other body organs. These cancer cells can start to grow and multiply in any part of the body and form tumours, which are lumps of tissue. Tumours can be cancerous (malignant tumours) or not cancerous cells (benign tumours). Cancerous tumours spread to tissues and can travel within the body to form new tumours; this process is called metastasis. Many cancers include solid tumours; however, cancers of the blood, such as leukaemias, generally do not form solid tumours.

Conventional Treatment
The conventional treatment views cancer as a genetic mutation. Surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, hormonal and immunotherapy are at the front of the treatments.
Integrative and Functional Approach
Based on the Warburg effect that the preference of cancer cells to consume glucose for energy even when is not enough oxygen available; thus, cancer cells use it more readily glycolysis.
Extensive research has been done on the Warburg effect and its functions in cancer cells and tumour proliferation; however, it still needs more clarity to use as an effective treatment to prevent cancer.
Moreover, most cancer cells depend on glycolysis to generate Adenosine 5’ triphosphate (ATP) source of energy in the cell, even when oxygen is available, but simply inhibiting the glycolysis is not enough to get rid of cancer cells due to the capacity of adaptation to their metabolism of cancer cells to their environmental conditions.
Early detection gives a better prognosis and treatments. There are numbers of individuals living well with and beyond cancer.
How we can support you after and during your conventional medical treatment
We support you at every stage of your journey. We offer practical tools to cope physically, mentally, and socially. Cancer treatments always emotionally impact the patient, family, and friends, and we can help you to cope with these challenges. Nutrition is also part of this journey; polyphenols, anthocyanins, and natural ellagic acids will help with oxidative stress and oxidative damage, which could be incredibly supportive during their treatment, such as radiation.
Undergoing cancer treatments can cause havoc in the body, and some patients can gain weight; however, it is imperative to keep the body healthy while undergoing treatment—reasons for weight gain – include chemotherapy, fatigue, metabolism change, and steroids.
Reason for weight loss – steroids, side effects of treatment, vomiting, swelling or bruising.
Note.- We offer also 1:1 online sessions at this time. If you prefer only sessions without the in-depth assessment. Please get in touch with us by e-mail.
