What is trauma healing?
Trauma doesn’t mean you were abused, neglected, or had horrible parents, though this is the case for some individuals.
Trauma means there have been situations in your life when your body didn’t have enough resources and support to cope with whatever happened at the time.
For some individuals, it is very confusing how to heal from trauma because it is not a clear path.
It was thought that the long-term effects of trauma are psychological, but the body and brain both experience lasting biological changes, for example, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, burnout, PTSD, pain, weight gain, chronic fatigue, immunity issues and digestive disorders.
To find the way out of this cycle, you must understand the physiology, biology and neurobiology of trauma, the biology that predisposes to trauma and keeps you stuck in insecurity, fear, and inflammation even if you have done therapy.
The trauma could be acute such as single incidents, chronic, repeated and prolonged, and complex exposure to varied and multiple traumatic events, often invasive.
There are different stages or phases of trauma, such as acknowledgement, safety, process, stability and integration.
Some signs and symptoms
Suppose you find that any of the above points sound familiar to you. Then you might be experiencing the trauma results, and now it is the time to take back control of your own life that you deserve.
How we can help you to enjoy life again after a traumatic event for you
Together we will create a bespoke programme based on clinical experience. We will support and facilitate space and the right environment for your journey of healing from trauma.
We will help you regain control over your life and see the world through different lenses, so you no longer feel like a victim. Our practitioners are counsellors, somatic experiencing practitioners, neuroscientists, and trauma-informed therapists, who have a range of experience in different modalities. And they combine these different modalities on the mind/body/self area according to your needs as one technique can’t heal everybody.
Changes in lifestyle, such as adequate sleep, decreasing stress levels and adding physical activity, tend to improve your healing journey of trauma.
Note.- We offer 1:1 online sessions at this time. Please get in touch with us with any questions.
